WARNING! Risk of material

damage

~ Hard, pointed objects (such as metal

spoons) can damage the non-stick coat-

ing of the baking plate1. Only use the

included kitchen utensils, or utensils

made of wood or heat-resistant plastic

~ Never place the device on hot surfaces

(e.g. hob plates) or near heat sources or

open fire.

~ Only use the original accessories.

~ The device is fitted with non-slip silicon

feet. Because furniture can be coated

with a wide variety of varnishes and

plastics, and treated with various care

products, the possibility cannot be ex-

cluded that some of these substances

have ingredients that may attack and

soften the silicon feet. If necessary,

place a non-slip mat under the device.

~ Do not use any astringent or abrasive

cleaning agents.

DANGER for birds

~ Birds breathe faster, distribute the air

differently in their bodies and are signif-

icantly smaller than humans. For this

reason, it may be dangerous for birds to

inhale even the smallest smoke quanti-

ties, which develop while this device is

running. When using this device, birds

should be relocated into a different

room.

and livestock

~ Electrical devices can represent a haz-

animals away from electrical devices at

Unpacking

1. Remove all parts from the packaging.

2. Check that all parts are present and in-

tact.

5. Before using for the

first time

FIRE HAZARD! Before turning the

device on, place it on a level, sta-

ble, dry, heat-resistant surface.

DANGER! Risk of injury

through burning! The appli-

ance's baking plate1 gets very hot

during operation. Only touch the

control elements of the device dur-

ing operation.

NOTE: you may notice an odour when us-

ing for the first time. This is a result of the

manufacturing process and is not a defect

with the device. Ensure adequate ventila-

tion.

• Clean the appliance before using

it for the first time (see “Clean-

ing” on page 8)!

1. Unwind the mains cable6 completely.

2. Place the baking plate1 on the bottom

section2.

3. Insert the power supply plug into a suit-

able mains socket. The red indicator3

comes on to show that the appliance is

connected to the power supply.

4. Turn the temperature control to

"MAX". As soon as operating temper-

ature has been reached, the green indi-

cator5 comes on. During operation,
