1. INTENDED USE

The device is intended for weighing small food products used

for the preparation of meals.

The device is intended for private household use indoors only. It must

not be used for professional purposes.

The scale is not suitable for weighing items heavier than 300 g (0.3 kg).

Following the instructions in this manual will ensure safe installation

and use of the device.

1. Please read this manual in whole before using the product.

2. The device is intended for indoor use only.

3. Do not use this device for anything other than its intended purpose.

4. Do not use the device in the vicinity of heat sources (heaters, re).

5. When the device is not in use or prior to cleaning it, always switch it

off (remove the batteries).

6. Do not clean the device using corrosive cleaning agents.

7. Protect the device (the handle) from penetration of water or other

liquids.

8. Protect the device (the handle) against the penetration of dry matter.

9. Warning! During cleaning or operation, never immerse any electrical

parts of the device in water or other liquids. Never hold the device

under running water.

10. Do not use the scale for weighing pets.

11. The scale is a high precision device. Handle it carefully. Protect it

from hits, shocks, falling from a height.

12. Do not expose the device to strong vibrations or high mechanical

loads.

13. Avoid sudden, signicant temperature changes (direct sunlight, very

low freezing temperatures).

Open the packaging and carefully take out the device. Inspect the set

for completeness and any damage. Check that the plastic parts are

not broken. If any parts are damaged or missing, contact the dealer

and do not use the device. Retain the packaging or dispose of it

in accordance with local regulations.

Note! For the sake of children’s safety, do not leave

any packaging materials accessible and unattended

(plastic bags, cardboard boxes, Styrofoam etc.). Risk

ofsuffocation!

7.1 Inserting and changing batteries

1. Make sure the scale is switched off.

2. Remove the battery compartment cover.

3. Remove the spent batteries (if present).

4. Insert two new AAA 1.5 V batteries, paying attention

tothepolarity symbols in the battery compartment.

5. Close the battery compartment cover.

Attention!

• The device is designed to be powered with AAA 1.5 V batteries.

• The batteries are included in the kit.

• When replacing batteries, observe the polarity marked inside

the battery compartment.

• Use the type of batteries recommended for this device:

AAA 1.5 V .

• Do not put used batteries in a rubbish bin, but in special containers

for used batteries.

• Do not recharge batteries not designed for that purpose

(non-rechargeable batteries).

• Do not short-circuit the terminals.

• Never expose batteries to direct heat sources, such

as excessive sun light, heaters or re.

• Risk of explosion! Never disassemble or short-circuit

batteries or throw them into re.

• Always remove the batteries before prolonged storage

of the device to prevent damage from possible electrolyte leak.

• Remove spent batteries from the device immediately.

• Spent batteries may leak, which may damage the device.

• If you touch acid from a battery, rinse your hands under running

water. If any acid gets into your eyes, contact a doctor. The acid

contained in the battery may cause irritation or burns.

• Swallowing a battery may have fatal consequences! Keep

batteries away from children and pets. Seek medical

assistance immediately if a battery is swallowed.

7.2 Weighing

• Hold the scale with your hand. Grasp the device so that your grip is

comfortable and rm.

• Press the ON/OFF/TARE button to turn on the scale. Wait a couple

of seconds. The scale will reset the sensor indications and self-

control operations.

14. The scale is not water resistant. Do not wash it in running water

or a dishwasher.

15. Do not place the device on a wet or oily surface.

16. The device is not a toy.

17. Children must not play with the device.

• When “0.0 g” is shown on the display, the scale is ready for use.

• You may start weighing.

• Use the spoon to scoop something (e.g. spice) you want to weigh.

Ifthere is too much product, pour some off. If there is too little product,

scoop some more.

• Once you have scooped the product, position the scale horizontally

and do not move it. The product weight will be shown on the display.

Note! The default unit of weight is grams.

• If you want to stop the measurement, press the HOLD button.

The  weight reading will freeze and will not change if the scale is

moved.

• Another method to freeze the product weight reading is to press ∑/

UNIT.

• To switch off the scale, press the ON/OFF/TARE button and hold it

3 seconds.

• The scale will turn off automatically if idle for approximately

60 seconds.

Note! The display may show the “-” sign. It means the weight reading is

negative. This is incorrect. To x the error:

1. Wipe the spoon thoroughly.

2. Press the ON/OFF/TARE button. The value “0.0 g” should be shown

on the display.

3. Start the actual weighing.

7.3 Changing the weight units

• After switching on the scale you can change the weight unit using

the  ∑/UNIT button. Press the ∑/UNIT button and hold it until

the weight unit changes.

• The current unit of the weight reading is shown on the display.

When  you change the unit, the unit indicated on the display will

change.

7.4 Resetting

After the scale is turned on, it resets automatically regardless

of theitems placed on it. This function may be used for taring when

starting up the scale.

7.5 Taring

After turning the scale on, you can use the taring function to obtain

the  weight of your product without its packaging. In order to do

this, weigh an empty package (e.g. a small container for spices),

press the  ON/OFF/TARE button, wait until the displays shows 0,

then weigh your product together with the package (e.g. the container

with the spice inside).

The correct weight with the application of taring is displayed

if a vertical line is shown below the TARE text.

7.6 Indicators on the display

of 0.3 kg (300 g) is exceeded.

Displayed when the batteries are low.

Replace the batteries immediately.

• Remove batteries from the device before you start cleaning it.

• Wipe with a slightly damp cloth with some dishwashing agent,

then wipe the scale dry.

• Spoon with measuring scale - wash under running water

after disconnecting it from the handle.

8. CLEANING AND CARE

The device does not contain any user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt

to repair the device on your own. Always have a specialist perform

repairs.

Clean the device as described.

Keep the device in a dry and well-ventilated place inaccessible to children.

Protect the device against vibration and shock during transport.

This device has been designed, manufactured and marketed

in compliance with the requirements of the New Approach

Directives; therefore, the product has been marked with the CE mark

and a declaration of conformity has been issued for it, which is made

available to market regulators.

In order to submit a complaint about the product, take the device

to the Customer Service Point at any Biedronka store.

1. The Warrantor of this product grants a 36-month warranty valid

from the date of purchase. If any defect is found, a complaint about

1. According to the WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU),

waste: turn it over to an electric and electronic devices collection

and recycling centre. The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol placed

on the product, instruction manual or package communicates this

requirement.

3. The plastics contained in the device can be recycled in accordance

with the specic marking. Thanks to recycling, re-use of materials

or other forms of utilizing used equipment you make a signicant

contribution to the protection of our natural environment.

4. Information on electric and electronic devices collection locations

is available from local government agencies or from the dealer.

5. Spent or fully discharged single-use and rechargeable

batteries must be discarded in dedicated labelled bins,

turned over to hazardous waste collectors or returned

to electric equipment dealers.

2. A defective/damaged product is a product failing to provide

the  features described in the user’s manual due to intrinsic

properties of the device.

3. The Beneciary under the warranty shall deliver the device

to the Customer Service Point at a given store in order to submit

a complaint about the equipment. When asserting your rights under

warranty, you need to present proof of purchase (receipt, invoice)

together with a description of the device defect in as much detail as

possible, in particular of the external manifestations of the defect.

4. The warranty excludes products with physical damage other than

that caused by the manufacturer or distributor, including specically

any damage resulting from incorrect usage or force majeure.

5. The warranty does not cover products from which the tamper-proof

seal has been removed and products to which repairs, alterations

or structural modications have been made or attempted.

6. The warranty does not cover components subject to natural wear

and tear during operation.

7. It is recommended that the complete product be submitted together

with the complaint so as to facilitate service operations.

8. This warranty for the sold consumer product does not exclude,

restrict or suspend any rights of the Buyer related to laws

and  regulations concerning warranty for defects in sold items

pursuant to the provisions of the Civil Code of 23 April 1964 (Journal

of Laws Dz.U.2014.121).

9. The warranty shall be applicable within the territory of the Republic

of Poland.
